I had a blast storing my bike in the covered area and playing table tennis in the cellar. The free WiFi in public areas was a lifesaver.even if it wasn't so great in my room.
Oh, and don't get me started on the "self parking" situation. It's a hostel, not a Formula 1 race.

I absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere and charming decor of the hotel. The common areas were tastefully furnished with comfortable seating and beautiful artwork. As a senior woman, I found the hotel to be very accessible, with convenient facilities on the same floor and safety features in place for my peace of mind.
As a senior traveler, the only thing I would ask for is a quieter environment. The noise at night can be a bit disruptive for a good night's sleep, especially for us older folks.

I had a great stay at the Youth Hostel in Zug. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the lake and the old town. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check in early and leaving keys for us when they weren't at the reception. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the shared amenities were great. I particularly enjoyed the basic Continental breakfast. The hostel also had car parking available for a small fee per night.

The staff was incredibly warm and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location was perfect, with the train station and Lake Zug just a short walk away. We enjoyed exploring the old city and taking in the beautiful views. The breakfast at the hostel was a highlight, with a delicious variety of food to choose from. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, providing a great base for our family adventures. We can't wait to visit again next year!
My wife says that the only thing she wished for during our stay at Youth Hostel Zug is that they had a play area or activities specifically for children.

The location is incredibly convenient, and I loved being able to explore Zug and the surrounding area easily. the hotel is situated near the lake and is just a short 15-minute walk from the charming old town. Check-in was a breeze, and even though I arrived late at night, the receptionist had left the room key and bed sheet for me. the staff were super friendly and accommodating, and they even allowed me to store my luggage after check-out. the room itself was clean and tidy, with all the necessary amenities. the breakfast spread was impressive, offering a wide range of delicious options to start the day off right.
Can't fault the property in any way! 😊

the location of the hostel was perfect, with two train stations and Lake Zug in close proximity. the staff at the hostel were friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable. the structure of the hostel was impressive, with clean and organized facilities. the room was spacious and well laid out, with ample space for everyone. the bathroom was large and the lockers provided convenient storage for belongings. the breakfast provided was delicious and filling, offering a good start to the day. I was impressed with the hostel's facilities and service.
The one drawback I found was the lack of air conditioning in the room. the air circulation and shading during the day seemed inadequate, which could be a bit uncomfortable, especially during warmer months.
